Ipgok Reservoir

Ipgok-ri, Sanin-myeon, Haman-gun, Gyeongsangnam-do

The Ipgok Reservoir was constructed as an agricultural water source, and it boasts a considerable size, so large that you cannot see the ends of it. To the left of the reservoir, there is a pine forest on steep cliffs, while to the right, deciduous and coniferous forests on gentle slopes create a beautiful harmony. This area, with its numerous small and large hills forming a valley around the reservoir, preserves a variety of colorful rocks and rocky cliffs, along with its enchanting natural scenery, and holds legends, adding to its mystique. As you enter the reservoir park entrance, the shimmering reservoir catches your eye first. Crossing a suspension bridge, 112 m long and 1.5 m wide, that spans the center of the reservoir, the walking trail around the reservoir is truly exceptional. Bird feathers stretch out gracefully on the water's surface, and various unnamed flowers and trees surround the reservoir and the walking trail. Occasionally, white herons flaunt their magnificent figures, making it truly picturesque.
